This year I saved $25,000 since June 1999 (in 8 months) by getting rid of Bell Canada as my long distance provider. Yet my phone numbers are all the same. I now pay a flat rate per minute, no matter where I call, nor time of day, in-watts or outgoing, month to month with no contract, whoever gives me the lowest price. One month it was ATT, then Sprint, another month it was Telecom Options. I was like you, thinking I had the best rates available, and I believe I was, up to two years ago anyway.
Then de-regulation of long distance swept across the country, and the savings were not automatically passed on
to us by Bell. "Buyer beware" applies now to your phone bill.

To whom it may concern: Rondex Limited retained the services of Telecom Options Inc to conduct a review of all our telecommunications costs. The cellular review after implementation indeed confirmed annual savings of approximately $1400. Our long distance cost was reduced significantly by going with Telecom Options' program. Also, after reviewing our lines, our cost was reduced by 20%. Our lines were reconfigured, a new board was added to our system to reduce the number of lines, therefore realizing further savings.
